Terms of Service

DriveReady AI ("DriveReady AI", "we", "us", "the Service") is a study aid designed to help learner drivers prepare for knowledge (written) permit and driver-license tests. It is intended solely for educational purposes.

The Service is not a substitute for:

• Your state's official driver handbook or DMV / MVC / DDS materials
• Professional driving instruction from a licensed instructor or driving school
• Legal advice on traffic laws or driving regulations

Always consult your state's official driver handbook and DMV website for authoritative, current requirements before your test or before driving.

DriveReady AI is an independent commercial product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC), Department of Driver Services (DDS), or any other government agency in any jurisdiction, domestic or international.

Use of terms like "DMV," "permit test," or state names is descriptive of the educational subject matter only and does not imply any official affiliation, approval, or certification.

We work hard to keep our practice content accurate and up to date, but we cannot and do not guarantee that using DriveReady AI will result in passing any official knowledge test, road test, licensing exam, or any real-world driving outcome.

Driving laws and DMV requirements vary by state and change over time. You are solely responsible for verifying current rules in your jurisdiction before your test and before driving. DriveReady AI is not responsible for test failures, license denials, traffic citations, accidents, fines, or any other driving or licensing outcome.

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization, notify us immediately at support@drivereadyai.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at our discretion.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf before you use the Service.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, contact us at privacy@drivereadyai.com and we will promptly delete the account and all associated data.

DriveReady AI uses artificial intelligence to generate practice questions, answer explanations, study plans, and AI Tutor responses. You acknowledge that AI-generated content:

• May be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated
• May not reflect recent changes to traffic laws in your state
• Is provided as a study suggestion only — not as legal advice, a definitive statement of law, or an official DMV answer key
• Should always be verified against your state's official DMV handbook before relying on it in any real-world situation

We continuously review and improve our content quality, but no AI system is perfect. Use AI Tutor responses as a starting point for learning, not a final authority.

Paid plans (Pro and Family) are subscription-based and renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until you cancel.

• Free trial: If your plan includes a trial period, your payment method will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge.
• Cancellation: Cancel anytime from your Account settings page. You retain full access until the end of the current billing period — no proration, no cancellation fees.
• Billing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
• Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price increase. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

The Lifetime Access plan is a one-time, non-recurring payment that grants Pro-level access for the operational lifetime of the Service.

• "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the DriveReady AI Service, not necessarily your personal lifetime
• Includes all future feature updates at the Pro tier at no additional charge
• Lifetime purchases are non-refundable after 14 days from the purchase date (see Section 9 for refund details)
• If the Service is ever discontinued, we will provide at least 60 days' advance notice

We want you to be satisfied with DriveReady AI. Our general billing policies:

• Monthly subscriptions: If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will review your case fairly.
• Annual subscriptions: Refund requests submitted within 14 days of an annual renewal charge are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• Lifetime plan: Refundable within 14 days of purchase if you have not actively used premium features.
• Free trial: No charge if you cancel before the trial ends.

To request a refund or dispute a charge, email billing@drivereadyai.com with your account email and a brief description of the issue. We respond within one business day.

Attorney review is recommended for formal refund policy compliance in your jurisdiction.

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download content from the Service
• Share account credentials or permit others to use your account
• Use the AI Tutor for purposes unrelated to driver education, or to attempt to circumvent AI safety filters
• Attempt to bypass subscription paywalls, rate limits, or access controls through any means
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Create fake accounts, impersonate others, or misrepresent your identity
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or support staff

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund at our sole discretion.

The Family plan allows a parent or guardian ("Family Owner") to manage up to five driver profiles under one account.

• The Family Owner is responsible for all activity on linked profiles and for ensuring that all family members comply with these Terms
• Parents may view linked drivers' progress, scores, readiness scores, and study history through the Family Dashboard
• The Family Dashboard is an educational support tool — it is not a substitute for professional driving instruction, direct parental supervision, or legal guidance on any driving matter
• Linked profiles should be created with the knowledge and consent of the person being added
• The Family Owner is solely responsible for subscription billing for all profiles under the family plan

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DriveReady AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely accurate at all times.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation: test failures, license denials, driving accidents, traffic citations, fines, injuries, or any other real-world driving or licensing outcome arising from your use of the Service.

Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations. Where local law restricts these exclusions, they apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may close your account at any time from the Account settings page.
